Built by the Person Who Has To Use It

What this means for you
KAHN is not a product strategy decked out as a dashboard. It is a tool the operator ships against their own daily problem, then puts in front of pilot tenants. The five-dimension realignment floor was met on the dogfood tenant before the rest of the build began. Every phase since has been a reaction to friction the operator hit, not a roadmap drawn in a planning meeting.
The pitch
A solo build, in public, against a public realignment standard. The dogfood tenant came first. Pilot tenants came second. The marketing site came third. The discipline is that any invariant claimed in prose ships with the test that would fail if the claim were untrue.
Who it’s for
The pilot evaluator deciding whether KAHN is serious infrastructure or demoware, and the indie founder studying what a rigorous solo build looks like over a multi-quarter arc.
Proof points
- Realignment floor met against the kahn-internal dogfood tenant on 2026-04-27, on the record in the project north star
- Two pilot tenants frozen as onboarding bundles: traceo-cat-pilot and stratt-hq-pilot, each with its own onboarding doc
- Public marketing surfaces shipped as separate sites: kahn.tools for the dashboard story, kahn.run for the CLI story, each with its own typography and OG card
- Phase arc on the record: post-floor hub build, SPA consumer-readiness, a five-round design closure pass, then an end-to-end friction round, all preserved as dated phase notes rather than rewritten
