Phase 2 Before Press: The Substrate Ships First
meridian beginner 4 min read
What this means for you
Choco HQ does not lead with a press release. It leads with a tagged release and a verification round. Phase 1 closed when the substrate (@stratt/fingerprint, @stratt/schema, @stratt/crdt, @stratt/graph, @stratt/cli) was merged, tested, and signed off in an append-only decision ledger. Phase 2 opens the multi-domain expansion that earns the right to put Choco HQ in front of a wider audience.
The pitch
Ship the substrate. Run a verification round. Record the round as a numbered decision the public can read. Tag the release. Then talk about it. The order is not negotiable, because a buyer who can read your decision ledger and verify your test counts will trust you in a way no launch video can buy.
Who it’s for
The advisor, peer, or early prospect asking why Choco HQ is “only forty percent built” and what the rollout shape is.
Proof points
- Phase 1 closed 2026-04-29 with verification round recorded as
docs/decisions/0007-phase-1-verification.md; 856 tests across 6 packages at the time of close - Public release tag:
v1.0.0-rc.1(2026-04-05); already pinnable, already linkable - Phase 2 opened the same week as Phase 1 closed (
docs/decisions/0008-phase-2-open.md); partial verify_round 2026-04-30 (docs/decisions/0010) - Active council: Pathfinder, dev domain, 6 agents, 20 units; the workspace eats its own substrate before any prospect does
- Decisions are append-only. Edits add a
